Pit Bull Puppies!

It’s certainly not a rare thing to see a pit bull at an animal shelter.  But some people are surprised that it’s also not rare to see puppies at an animal shelter. Many have the impression that if you want a puppy, you need to go to a breeder or a pet store.  But this isn’t true at all.  The Santa Monica Animal Shelter sees lots of puppies!

Sonia arrived at the shelter pregnant and gave birth to her adorable litter a few days later.  They’re irresistibly cute and love the attention of people.  And mama is very protective of her children, as well as a non-stop eater!

I would love one, but I am 13 and my parents always say no and tell me stories on how they are bad dogs. I say not all of them are like that. They say 95% of them probably are. It always ends with me saying that’s like saying 95% of gun owners shot other people! 😉
Gotta love the Pitts! <3

It’s definitely hard for many people to accept that not all pit bulls are vicious. I’m glad you see that soooo many of them are absolutely wonderful!

Unfortunately, they get a bad rap due to humans training them to fight. There are so many wonderful, gentle pit bulls out there. Including yours! 🙂
