Spay and Neuter Event

The Coalition for Pets and Public Safety had another successful event over the weekend.  They are a great non-profit organization who provide free or low-cost spay and neutering services, as well as vaccines and microchips, to low-income neighborhoods in Los Angeles.

Pet sterilization is the best way to keep pet populations under control and to limit the number of dogs and cats who are euthanized everyday in animal shelters.  And the Coalition’s mobile clinic travels all over LA to make the process as easy as possible for pet owners.

These mobile clinics are actually popping up all over the country.  So look for one in your area!

This is great exposure (and photos) – we need something like this is Perth WA – there are so, so many dogs and cats that get dumped and even euthanised every week – it’s a sad state of affairs. People continue to not get their pets sterilised and they also continue to buy from puppy farms… and all those poor and lovely animals at the pound are desperate fro loving homes. This has given me some ideas!

Great, I’m glad you got some ideas! Every little bit helps, whether it’s showcasing pets who need homes or educating people on the importance of sterilization. These mobile clinics are great, especially in that the services are of no or low cost. There’s just no excuse!
